Calier Effinol Antiparasite Spray for Cats and Dogs

Effinol is a treatment and prevention of flea and tick infestations. The product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD).

 

Treatment of biting lice infestations in dogs (Trichodectes canis) and cats (Felicola subrostratus).

Fipronil is an insecticide and acaricide of the phenylprazoles family. It acts by inhibiting the GABA complex, binding to the chloride channel and thus blocking the pre- and postsynaptic transfer of chloride ions across cell membranes. This results in uncontrolled central nervous system activity and death of insects and mites.

It is effective against tick infestations for up to 1 month. In the case of head lice, if necessary, repeat the treatment 4 weeks after the first
treatment after 4 weeks from the first application.

Contraindications:

 

Do not administer to sick (systemic diseases, fever) or convalescent animals.
Do not administer to rabbits, as adverse reactions to the drug may occur, even death.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any excipient.

 

Posolgy and administration:

 

Animals should be accurately weighed before treatment.
To wet the coat up to the skin, apply 3 to 6 ml per kg body weight (7.5 to 15 mg of active substance per kg body weight), depending on the length of the coat: 3 ml/kg body weight for short-haired animals up to 6 ml/kg body weight for long-haired animals.
The dosage can be achieved with 6 to 12 sprays per kg body weight of the 100 ml format, or with 2 to 4 sprays of the 250 ml or 500 ml format.
As part of the treatment strategy for the control of flea allergy dermatitis, a monthly application to allergic animals and all animals living with them is recommended.
The veterinary drug is active for up to 2 months against fleas. It is effective against tick infestations for up to 1 month. In the case of lice, if necessary, repeat the treatment 4 weeks after the first application.
In the absence of safety studies, the minimum interval between treatments is 4 weeks.

 

Mode of administration:

 

Spray the veterinary medicinal product over the entire body of the animal and apply at a distance of approximately 10-20 cm.
Apply in the opposite direction of hair growth and make sure that the entire coat is wetted.
Separate the coat, particularly in long-haired animals, in order to allow the veterinary medicinal product to penetrate to the skin.
Let it dry naturally.
Do not dry with a towel.
